Is CM Punk Jumping On With AEW?

If you keep up with the modern day wrestling universe, then you’ve probably heard of All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Recently, AEW aired its debut pay-per-view that impressively outsold the WWE’s Money In The Bank event.

The AEW organization has been on an impressive climb since its origination and is now home to many of wrestling’s legends like, Chris Jericho, Billy Gunn, Dustin Rhodes (formerly known as Goldust), and beloved commentator Jim Ross.

While AEW’s roster is quickly growing with new and established talent, many of professional wrestling’s fans are curious if the straight edge superstar, CM Punk, will make his wrestling return through AEW. CM Punk retired from wrestling and the WWE in 2014 and has expressed dissatisfaction with the WWE after leaving to become an MMA fighter. But fans are willful of his return after the president of AEW, Tony Khan, expressed interest in Punk and stated that he wished CM Punk would have been on the card at AEW’s recent PPV at a press conference after Double or Nothing.

Chris Jericho recently expressed that CM Punk would likely be welcome at AEW with open arms in an interview with ESPN. CM Punk has not stated if he plans to return to professional wrestling and recently worked as a commentator for Cage Fury Fighting Championships, an MMA organization.

The hype for CM Punk’s return likely stems from his appearance at an indie circuit wrestling event by MKE held in Wisconsin earlier this year. At the event, Punk interfered with a match wearing a mask and quickly left the venue. Do you think this hints to CM Punk’s return?
